World Hunger Day was launched by The Hunger Project-UK in 2011 to inspire people around the world to join together in solidarity to support all of those working to end their own hunger and poverty and make the journey to self-reliance.
This year, dozens of international organizations and thousands of people have taken up the message of the day and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Now, we want YOU to get involved!
In addtion to downloading our exclusive One World, One Song single by Dionne Warwick and Joe McElderry, we encourage everyone who believes in a world without hunger to donate your Facebook cover photo, add a Twibbon to your profile picture, attend a concert, and generally spread the word. For those interested in learning more about the issue of hunger in the world, take part in Africare’s all day #Fast4Hunger Twitter chat.
