What is Gather to Grow?

Gather to Grow is a month-long activation inviting individuals to host gatherings that connect people to the purpose of World Hunger Day. This is more than a shared meal—it’s a moment to spark meaningful connection and reflect on what it takes to build a more just and resilient world. At The Hunger Project, we know real change starts at the grassroots—and what better place than around the table?

Here’s what to do:

Step 1: Plan your gathering

Pick any day in May, choose your space—home, workplace or community—and invite your people to the table.

Step 2: Share a meaningful meal

Create a locally inspired menu, invite guests to bring a dish or a story, and spark thoughtful conversations about the systems that shape our plates—like food justice, climate resilience, and community-led solutions to hunger.

Step 3: Host with intention

Set the scene by sharing photos and videos that bring real faces and voices to your table. Start meaningful conversations using prompts, THP stories or stats as a guide.

Step 4: Capture and reflect

Capture the moments and email them to us [investorengagement@thp.org] or share them on social media using #SowingResilience and tag @TheHungerProject to inspire others to gather and grow.

Ready to plant seeds of change?

Sign up now and be part of a growing movement this World Hunger Day. Together, we’re building a table where everyone has a seat—and no one goes hungry.

Make change happen. Invest in people.
