World Hunger Day 2026
A World Without Hunger Is in Our Hands
A world without hunger is not a distant dream. It is being built right now. This World Hunger Day, May 28, 2026, we invite you to see it, share it and be part of it. Because a world without hunger is not something we wait for. It is something we create—together.
Choose Your Action. Join the Movement.
Join Our Webinar
This World Hunger Day, go deeper. Join a live global conversation with leaders and changemakers who are working every day to build a world without hunger. This is a chance to connect, learn and step into action together. More information will be released in the coming weeks.
Make Your Hands Seen
Show the world what action looks like. Take a photo or short video of your hands in action—planting, cooking, building, writing, raising a sign—and post using #InOurHands. Together, we create a powerful global message: the solutions to hunger are already in our hands.
Support Community-Led Change
Invest in what works. Hunger is created by systems of inequity we have the power to change. Every day, communities around the world are proving what’s possible. Your support fuels the leadership of women, farmers and communities building lasting solutions to hunger.
Create a “Hands of Change” Wall
Make collective action visible. At your workplace, school or community space, invite people to trace their hands and a commitment to create a better world. Watch it grow into a shared vision of what’s possible. Use #InOurHands to share a photo of your wall.
We Are Creating a World Without Hunger Today
Hunger is created by systems of inequity we have the power to change. Every day, communities around the world are proving what’s possible. Women are stepping into leadership and transforming local decision-making. Farmers are adopting climate-smart practices and restoring their land. Young people are building new solutions for resilient food systems. Communities are mobilizing to shape their own development.
A world without hunger will not come from one solution or one sector. It will come from people choosing to lead—wherever they are.
Leadership for the world we want to see can look like starting a conversation, investing in community-led solutions, amplifying the voices that need to be heard and standing alongside communities as a full partner.
Every role and every action matters—including yours. This is not about charity. It is about commitment to a new world we build together.
About World Hunger Day
World Hunger Day was founded in 2011 by The Hunger Project to raise awareness of the global food crisis and inspire action. Today, it is a globally recognized moment when millions of people—individuals, organizations, businesses and governments—come together to take action toward a world without hunger.
