Mlawe Epicenter, located in Zambia’s Vubwi District in the Eastern Province, was established in 2019 as our first epicenter in the country. Since then, the community has made remarkable progress across health, education, nutrition, and women’s empowerment, working in close partnership with local government. Earlier this year, the epicenter declared self-reliance, representing a milestone to scale sustainable, locally owned solutions to end hunger and poverty in Zambia.

Our work in Zambia is transforming lives. In a 2024 survey, 87% of our community partners reported increased ability to cover household expenses and a higher savings balance, with less time worrying about finances.
