Obenyemi Epicenter

Obenyemi Epicenter, located in Ghana, began its journey with The Hunger Project in 2008. Our programs in Obenyemi leverage the strong foundation of the epicenter’s operational clinic and microfinance program, which has been instrumental in improving maternal and child health and expanding small businesses. Our current focus is on targeted investment to address the identified gaps by supporting the establishment of solar-powered boreholes and improved latrine facilities to ensure safe water access. We are also working with the community to seek investment in a digital classroom and establishing demonstration fields to educate partners on improved agronomic practices and providing the basic resources necessary to realize higher agricultural productivity.

Our work in Ghana is transforming lives. In a 2024 survey, 90% of our community partners report an increased quality of life.
