Oaxaca

Oaxaca is a state located in southern Mexico.  Our work in this region is focused on mobilizing Indigenous communities and strengthening their capacity to advocate for change. We are working closely with 200 women here to promote their economic autonomy and with over 100 families to elevate the role mothers and caregivers play in society. Additionally, we are working with our partners to strengthen their capacity for participatory democracy. 

Our work in Mexico is transforming lives. In a 2024 survey, 98% of our community partners reported that their quality of life has improved since engaging with The Hunger Project.
