Mpigi Epicenter

Mpigi Epicenter is located in Uganda. We have been working with the community there since 1999. Our programs in Mpigi leverage the strengths of the community, such as the existing access to safe and clean water and collaboration with government to support programs. Our work focuses on supporting the agriculture-based economy by providing training and resources to help farmers adapt to climate challenges and by connecting them to improved market opportunities to ensure fair prices for their produce. We are also supporting initiatives to strengthen community security and facilitate investment in new agricultural technologies.

Our work in Uganda is transforming lives. In a 2024 survey, 60% of our community partners in Uganda reported that their health has improved since they started eating a more balanced diet after engaging with The Hunger Project.
