Maculuve Epicenter

Maculuve Epicenter is located in Mozambique. Our programs in Maculuve leverage existing infrastructure, such as the local health facility, to improve well-being. Our work focuses on supporting livelihoods by mitigating human-wildlife conflict and creating alternative, sustainable income sources. We are prioritizing initiatives to improve sanitation access and ensure a consistent water supply for the community. Crucially, we are implementing training to strengthen community agency and empower local residents to become the primary drivers of their own development and overcome persistent poverty and hunger.

Our work in Mozambique is transforming lives. In a 2024 survey, 98% of our community partners reported that their quality of life has improved since engaging with The Hunger Project.
