Khulna

Khulna, the third-largest district in Bangladesh, began its journey with The Hunger Project in 1997. Our programs in Khulna leverage the community’s history of being incredibly well-connected, which began with an exceptionally high level of engagement. Our work continues to focus on supporting and training this vital network of local leaders and neighbors to maintain organized efforts and manage the complexities of a growing district, ensuring that a large portion of the residents remain actively involved in guiding and organizing local projects for continued development.

Our work in Bangladesh is transforming lives. In a 2024 survey, 98% of our community partners reported that their quality of life has improved since engaging with The Hunger Project.
