Iganga Epicenter
Uganda
Iganga Epicenter, located in a sub-county of Uganda, began its journey with The Hunger Project in 2003. Our programs in Iganga leverage the existing resources like the District Agriculture Office and the presence of various Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) for partnerships. Our work focuses on providing training on improved farming methods to boost yields and quality, and supporting farmers to overcome market access difficulties. We are also collaborating with the community to strengthen food security and to implement strategies that mitigate the impact of the growing population on the essential resource of safe water.
Our work in Uganda is transforming lives. In a 2024 survey, 98% of our community partners reported that their quality of life has improved since engaging with The Hunger Project.
