Chiapas

Chiapas is a state located in Southern Mexico. Our programs in Chiapas include the “Catalizadoras para la Nutrición” project, which works across 11 municipalities to increase food availability and provide nutritional training. The “Ellas Deciden” project mobilizes girls and adolescents to reduce early marriage and dropouts, while the “School for Families” fosters trust and reflection within 45 families. Additionally, the “Canasta Básica Digital” project is providing equitable access to the internet, successfully connecting 6,556 users, with a particular focus on empowering women and young people.

Our work in Mexico is transforming lives. In a 2024 survey, 98% of our community partners reported that their quality of life has improved since engaging with The Hunger Project.
