Bagerhat

Bagerhat is a district located in Bangladesh. Our primary strategy in Bangladesh is to support and train networks of leaders, who drive change in their communities. In Bagerhat, we have been partnering with networks of adolescent girls, teachers, parents and local representatives come together to identify the barriers girls face during their education and brainstorm ways to prevent child marriage and ensure girls are attending school.

Our work in Bangladesh is transforming lives. In a 2024 survey, 89% of our partners take up activities at the community level, with child marriage prevention being the primary cause for activism.
