Kosha Shiswawala joined The Hunger Project as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 2022 where she leads and oversees global financial operations, financial compliance, accounting and reporting.

With over two decades of work in corporate finance, Kosha brings with her diverse sectoral experience that spans across international development, public accounting, commercial banking and investment banking sectors. Prior to joining The Hunger Project, working for eleven years at Counterpart International, an International NGO that partners with leaders, organizations and social sector networks to build inclusive, sustainable communities in which people thrive.

Kosha is deeply committed to gender equity and the right of all people to live without hunger and believes that a strong core finance function, combined with innovative and effective program implementation, can achieve the highest impact.

Kosha holds an honor’s Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Economics from the University of Mumbai, India. Kosha is a Chartered Accountant (India) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. After earning her Chartered Accountant designation, Kosha began her career in investment banking at Lazard India. Since then, she has worked in global financial management internationally and domestically at Exim Bank Tanzania, Pricewaterhouse Coopers Canada and Counterpart International.   

Kosha grew up in Mumbai, India, and has lived and worked in four countries across three continents. Kosha resides in Northern Virginia with her husband and daughter.
