Country Manager, Burkina Faso

BIO

Husunohi Mohamed Judicaël Bambara serves as the Country Manager for The Hunger Project-Burkina Faso. He is an agricultural engineer by training, passionate about working the land and solving the challenges facing agriculture today. He has dedicated his life to serving rural communities. 

Judicaël joined The Hunger Project-Burkina Faso in June 2009 and has led several programs over the course of his tenure. Most recently, he served as the Right2Grow Project Manager supporting a multi-partner strategic partnership to strengthen civil society and community-based organizations to improve nutrition and WASH outcomes in six countries, including Burkina Faso. 

Prior to joining The Hunger Project Burkina Faso’s head office, Judicaël was a field supervisor of The Hunger Project-Burkina Faso, working on a microdose fertilizer project financed by the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA). There he worked directly with producers on agricultural technologies to increase yields, the establishment of a warrantage system, the installation and management of agricultural input shops and the establishment of farmer’s field schools. 

Judicaël earned a degree in Rural Development Engineering with an  Agronomy option from the Institute of Rural Development at the Nazi Boni University of Bobo-Dioulasso and a Master’s in Biosciences, Genetics and Plant Improvement from Joseph Ki-Zerbo University of Ouagadougou.

Husunohi Mohamed Judicaël Bambara est le Responsable Pays de The Hunger Project-Burkina Faso. Il est ingénieur agronome de formation, passionné du travail de la terre et la résolution des défis liés à l’agriculture. Il a consacré sa vie au service des communautés rurales.

Judicaël a rejoint The Hunger Project-Burkina Faso en juin 2009 et a dirigé plusieurs programmes durant son parcours professionnel. Plus récemment, il a occupé le poste de chef de projet Right2Grow soutenant un partenariat stratégique multipartenaire visant à renforcer la société civile et les organisations communautaires afin d’améliorer les résultats en matière de nutrition et de WASH dans six pays, dont le Burkina Faso.

Avant de rejoindre le bureau siège de The Hunger Project Burkina Faso, Judicaël était superviseur terrain de The Hunger Project Burkina Faso, travaillant sur le projet microdose financé par l’Alliance pour une révolution verte en Afrique (AGRA). Là, il a travaillé directement avec les producteurs sur des technologies agricoles pour augmenter les rendements, la mise en place d’un système de warrantage, l’installation et la gestion de magasins d’intrants agricoles et la mise en place de champs écoles paysans.

Judicaël est titulaire d’un Diplôme d’Ingénieur du Développement Rural (BAC+5), option Agronomie de l’Institut du Développement Rural de l’Université Nazi Boni de Bobo-Dioulasso et d’un Master en Biosciences, Génétique et Amélioration des Plantes de Université Joseph Ki-Zerbo de Ouagadougou.
