Andrea Arkow serves as the Senior Officer, Investor Programs at The Hunger Project. In this role, Andrea creates opportunities for our committed investors to meaningfully engage with our programs and understand the impact of their contributions.

Prior to joining The Hunger Project in 2022, Andrea’s career in fundraising has focused on individual giving; covering the spectrum of donor relations, major giving and fundraising communications. She has helped many organizations build systems and processes from the ground up in order to grow their philanthropic revenue. 

Andrea holds an M.A. in Sustainable International Development from Brandeis University and a B.A. in Integrated Marketing Communications from Ithaca College. Andrea is passionate about elevating women into positions of leadership, having seen the tangible impacts of this from her prior work at UN Women in Istanbul and during the two years she spent in Southeast and South Asia.

She currently resides in the Greater Phoenix area with her husband, two daughters, and pup. When she isn’t chasing around two little ones,  she can be found hiking, cooking, reading, and traveling (or dreaming about traveling).
