BIO
Agatha Quayson is a seasoned development practitioner, passionate about the empowerment and inclusion of marginalized groups, community development and contributing to positive change in for economic and social growth. She joined The Hunger Project-Ghana as Country Leader in December 2024, bringing over 25 years of experience.
Agatha is an expert in agriculture value chain, financing, innovative water, sanitation and hygiene programs, private sector development and community development. She has effectively led teams and managed programs with a variety of multilateral & bilateral development organizations, international non-profit organizations, specialized deposit taking institutions & the public sector. Prior to joining The Hunger Project she served in various leadership roles with SNV Netherlands Development Organization, International Finance Corporation (IFC), Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), ACDI- VOCA, HFC Bank and the Ministry of Finance on the World Bank-funded Ghana Economic Transformation Project.
Agatha holds an Executive master’s degree in development policy from the Graduate Institute of Geneva, a master’s degree in Economic Policy Management from the University of Ghana and a certificate from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton Real Estate Center. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Cape Coast.
