About

Our work in Gangni began in 2016. Our primary strategy in Bangladesh is to support and train networks of leaders, who drive change in their communities. In the years after we started our partnership, nearly 1,300 women leaders and over 2,500 youth participated in trainings and workshops to learn about mobilizing their neighbors to hold their government and institutions accountable. Through their outreach, in Gangni, we saw increased activism in health and nutrition, school enrollment and halting forced marriage.

Our work in Bangladesh is transforming lives. In a 2024 survey, 89% of our partners take up activities at the community level, with child marriage prevention being the primary cause for activism.
