About

Amuru Epicenter is one of our newest epicenters in Uganda. It is in Northern Uganda, which after decades of conflict and dependence on humanitarian aid, is now in a critical phase of recovery and development. The communities near Amuru Epicenter are mobilized, engaged and ready to lead the development of their communities.

Our work in Uganda is transforming lives. In a 2024 survey, 98% of our community partners reported that their quality of life has improved since engaging with The Hunger Project.
