Activism for the End of Hunger

November 20, 2014

“I have been an Activist/Investor in The Hunger Project since 1977 because it is the highest leverage I can get on my money to produce the results I am committed to in the world. I have yet to find a better such investment so it continues to be the central focus of our goal to have each and every person on the planet have the opportunity to have a healthy and productive life.”

Dwight Frindt and his wife Suzanne have been investors in The Hunger Project for over three decades. In addition to being investors, Dwight and Suzanne set a shared goal: they could  maximize their giving by actively leveraging their circles and letting other people know about The Hunger Project.

Dwight has made it his practice to share The Hunger Project with everyone who comes within ear shot – particularly those within his sphere of influence. This enthusiasm, conviction and commitment has translated into several meaningful and significant relationships for The Hunger Project, including our current Global Board Chair, Steven Sherwood, and a number of investors whose investments total well in excess of $1 million.

“To date, my wife and I have invested between 20 and 25% of our income and our net worth in the Hunger Project and will continue to invest until the job is done.”

Dwight and Suzanne live in Seattle and Dwight now serves as Chair of The Hunger Project’s Seattle-based Regional Development Board.
