BIO

Jenna was appointed Deputy CEO of The Hunger Project in February 2025. As such, she provides strategic leadership to our global team and works to build and sustain the global movement of individuals and organizations who are committed to creating a world without hunger. Jenna leads the areas of fund development and communications, increasing awareness and resources for The Hunger Project’s mission and impactful programs around the world. 

A passionate international development professional, Jenna has 25 years of experience in the sector. She first joined The Hunger Project in 2005, holding various roles in communications, fundraising and partnership development, and has served more than a decade on the executive leadership team.  

Prior to joining The Hunger Project, Jenna worked in policy communications for six years for the 2020 Vision Initiative of the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), an international research organization dedicated to providing research-based policy solutions to reduce poverty and end hunger and malnutrition. 

Jenna holds her M.A. in International Development Studies from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University and her B.A. in International Relations from the College of William and Mary in Virginia. She also attended American University for a semester program in international Environment and Development.

Jenna is a member of Vistage, a coaching and peer advisory organization for small and midsize business leaders, and serves as an executive board member of her children’s school’s PTO.
