Kataike Sarah Ndoboli, Dr. Fitigu Tadesse and Jeanne Gasasira.
As of today, Ms. Kataike Sarah Ndoboli is our new country director in Uganda.
Sarah takes the reins from Jeanne Uwineza Gasasira, who is starting a two-year leave of absence. From the moment Jeanne and her husband Alex were married, Alex has been posted in Liberia - a conflict area - and the couple could not be together. Alex now has a new posting in Zimbabwe, and they have all our blessings in taking this time together to start their family. Jeanne has promised to stay an active member of The Hunger Project family, and we wish her all the best.
Sarah is just completing a masters degree, and has most recently worked as sub-county coordinator of the National Agricultural Advisory Services in Mukono District, as a World Bank consultant, and as a mobilizer with other NGOs working with women and agriculture. She brings a wealth of experience in agriculture, micro-credit, community mobilization, participatory planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
All of us are delighted to welcome Sarah and wish her well as she brings her leadership to one of our most dynamic country programs!
