| DECEMBER 1-13, 2005 |
World AIDS Day here is decentralized at the district level and each district has the responsibility to conduct it at their own convenience. As a result, many of them did not hold it on the very day ( 1st December) but will be doing it in the coming few days. One of our epicentre areas- Iganga conducted this ceremony on 1st December and our partners participated very actively. The theme for the day was "Stop AIDS, Keep the promise" with a slogan "Turning remembrance into action." Our animators and volunteer trainers took part in the day's activities, and participated in exhibitions, a drama which centred on our HIV/AIDS and Gender Inequality Workshop and the actions that we are doing at the grassroots and also presented songs. The district head was the chief guest.
