Matsekope epicenter women December 2006: Matsekope epicenter gains bank recognition, the third epicenter in Ghana where the women who run the bank have reached this milestone, and the 15th in Africa.

November 25 - International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women is observed all over Bangladesh, thanks to action by the Girl Child Forum - the coalition of organizations catalyzed by The Hunger Project, initially around Girl Child Day but now taking action on a range of gender issues.
Joan Holmes outlines the five elements of the Scale-up Strategy at the October 23 meeting of the Global Board of Directors. "Scale-up has ramifications far beyond the Eastern Region of Ghana. It requires new organizational capabilities in program, fundraising and financial management, new levels of professionalism, and new expressions of leadership."
