The Hunger Project Statement on the Current Situation in Burma - May 2008

The Hunger Project is gravely concerned about the current situation in Burma. What is needed right now is quick and efficient assistance for the Burmese people.

The Hunger Project works with communities to help women and men become self-reliant and end their own hunger on a sustainable basis. Obviously the current crisis is of such a scale that it requires immediate external assistance. The Hunger Project does not have expertise in responding to disasters.
