Volunteer Activism with The Hunger Project

We encourage everyone who wants to be an activist with The Hunger Project to begin by becoming a financial investor. Committed investors are the heart and soul of The Hunger Project. Investors are the living embodiment of the kind of profound respect, solidarity and authentic partnership with hungry people that is central to our principles and therefore, to our effectiveness. Activists are investors who partner with a Hunger Project staff member and other activists to expand the reach of The Hunger Project in their own community. Activists may serve on the invitation committee for community events, or host their own events. They may serve as a "door opener" to people they know who, after meeting with a fundraiser, might choose to invest financially in The Hunger Project. Activists may be the catalyst to bring The Hunger Project into entirely new networks of people. This section of the website is designed to empower activists with materials and tools to facilitate their outreach and also to keep them aware of our fundraising goals and status.
